School SportsFind out what SportSkool can offer
The importance of sport to primary school aged children is hard to overestimate: research has shown that participation in sport builds confidence, self-esteem and leads to higher academic achievement.
Physical activity also helps children to build their social skills. It’s not about the sport they choose but more about the choice to make sport a part of their lives.
The national health agenda requires children to be inspired into sport, be physically active for at least 60 minutes every day and complete strength activities at least 3 times a week. SportSkool sessions adhere to both the national health agenda and the national curriculum to ensure all of the children on our sessions are working towards these targets.
SportSkool coaches are all fully qualified and DBS checked. They also love what they do!
We can take care of every aspect of the running of our sessions. Our online booking system provides a perfect platform for parents to book and pay for their sessions, our coaches will arrive early to set up, take registers, supervise changing. The sessions are planned in advance and executed to get the most out of the children.
We teach a diverse range of sports at breakfast, lunch and after-school clubs in primary schools - and we also offer classes outside of school hours. Our core sports are dance, football, gymnastics and rugby but we deliver classes in a total of fifteen different sports including athletics, benchball, dodgeball and street games!
SportSkool classes are fun and enjoyable but they are also performance-centered and progressive. The youngsters we teach follow a syllabus of learning that gives them a good understanding of each sport and a demonstrable ability to perform age-specific skills.
Classes are suitable for both boys and girls of all abilities.
